Gentle surgery is a minimally invasive surgery of one day!

The purpose of this method is to minimize the degree of trauma to the patient’s tissues and the area of surgical intervention.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a method in surgery that allows performing surgical interventions on internal organs and performing the necessary surgical procedures through small holes in the skin (0.5-1.5 cm) through the skin on the anterior abdominal wall.

A puncture (incision) is made with a thin special tube – a trocar for injecting carbon dioxide into the abdominal cavity. This creates an operational space for the operation itself and the camera, whose video image is fed to the monitor.

The whole operation is under the full control of surgeons, as the laparoscopic surgery area and surgical instruments are under full supervision, thanks to the video image of the operation on the monitor.

Laparoscopic surgeries can be planned, emergency or for the purpose of diagnosing diseases when magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound are not very informative.

Advantages of laparoscopy

The advantages of laparoscopy include the following:

  • Preservation of adjacent healthy tissues;
  • Significant reduction of pain after surgery;

  • Cosmetic effect – postoperative sutures and scars are practically absent.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a modern method used to examine organs with the help of optical devices – endoscopes.

Types of endoscopic examinations

  • diagnosis of diseases of the stomach and all parts of the intestine;
  • for examination of the bronchi and lungs;
  • to diagnose diseases of the bladder, prostate, urethra, kidneys and ureters;
  • for diagnosing the uterus in gynecology.

Endovideo surgery

Today, at the Dievo Center, endovideo surgery, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy are used in almost all areas of modern medicine in gynecology, proctology, urology, general surgery, and thoracic surgery, both in scheduled and emergency surgery.
